Yes...my 1890-CC $5 (PCGS XF-45) is without a doubt on the high end of XF-45 scale. There are actually more of these examples found in the AU ranges than the XF grades!
This is a fairly easy coin to upgrade as 1890-CC $5 is one of the more common dates (for "CC" gold that is...)My main reason for not trading out this coin is that it's the very first one I purchased in my set. For that nostalgic reason alone...coupled with the fact that it's a nice looking specimen...is why I keep it. One of these fine days I'll probably upgrade it but I'll still keep this coin for the sentimental reasons mentioned. Thanks for inquiring about it!
