Bodybagged GSA ? was created by Garryn
A poster on the vamworld.com forum, John G., just casually mentioned in the "Cards on the Table" thread, that he was in possession of a CC dollar in a GSA holder that had been returned by NGC as "cleaned". Has anyone else seen or heard of such a thing?

Dennis H posted a thread on the other forum on august 11, 2008 discussing a GSA CC still in the GSA holder that was bodybagged by the TPG service. One response indicted a similar experience when the poster removed two GSA CC's from their holder and sent them in for grading. I sure hope they were not in uncirculated holders....

you know, Roger, in the spirit of the convoluted GSA market logic of "Buy the holder and not the coin" maybe a cleaned silver dollar in a GSA dollar might be as rare as an 1889-CC, an 1892-CC or a 1893-CC in a GSA holder. Those guys might have 6 figure coins in their possession :woohoo:

I received a reply about the coin. It is an 1884-CC and was mentioned on the PCGS message board "a while back" with pictures. I dont know if anyone can hunt the link down and post it?
