I had posted this on another forum and received some good feedback so I thought I would post it here too. Yes, I know it should have been posted here first - sorry about that!
This is an interesting error Morgan in a GSA holder that I picked up at the local shop. Hope everyone enjoys!

Quite a unique find. Have you seen other GSA coins with mint mistakes?
A regular 1883-CC GSA $1 in MS-63 costs from $250 to $300, if it is not a secret, how much premium you had to pay for your coin? Just curious.

That is very interesting. I would guess that is a lamination. I am surprised that the coin did not make the "cull" group when GSA was packaging them. I would also be interested to know if you paid a premium.

Hello - thanks for the feedback!
As for price - I am a little embarrased, but I did not pay a premium at all for this. I work for a local shop and he sold it to me at what he paid for it, about 10% back of bid.... :blush:
