Mark, I hope someone posts a more complete list of all the things we got to touch at the meeting. From Rusty's engraved 1870 planchet's, some great vams and color, tokens, dimes, and on and on....

Well, I have to say that the show-and-tell session at the C4OA meeting during the Carson City Coin Show was spectacular. All the presenters had fascinating items to display, each with its own history and significance—to either the owner, or its origination in and around Carson City.

Events like this are what keep our club fresh and inviting to new members. We already have supportive members writing reviews to the editors of big numismatic publications, and wish all of you reading this to do the same!

Below is a picture of a C4OA member displaying Randysc's 13-piece Carson City Morgan dollar set in a Nevada-shaped Capital Plastic holder.

Happy “CC” hunting!

Hmmm- That doesn't look like me. I guess the internet makes my hair look a bit on the blond side.

Randysc,

Sorry about the goof, I seemed to have gotten my members mixed up! I corrected it though.

Rusty has a pretty decent list of the presenters, the coins and memorabilia presented.

I wrote an article about the C4OA meeting and CC coin show that will appear in the next Curry's. The article recounts many of the presentations briefly...but frankly, I did not take good enough notes!

Live and learn. I simply was not expecting the sheer number of coins and other interesting things that members brought!

Belay Off
