Greetings to all "CC" fans.
Check out the two great articles (page 82) in the September 27, 2010 issue of Coin World.
The first article "Specialists share strategies - CCCCOA members gather in Boston" shows a nice picture of Rusty Goe recieving our clubs' first Literary Award (Hal V. Dunn) from Dan McCarty. The award winning article,"Harold Montgomery Budd - A Connecticut Yankee in Abe Curry's Court" was published in the Fall 2009 issue of Curry's Chronicel. The article also details and presentations all the events of the August 12, 2010 C4OA meeting.
The second article (also on page 82) "Carson City coin show draws about 40 CCCCOA members" recounts the details of that great event held August 27 & 28, 2010 in Carson City at the NV State Museum, site of the of the "CC" mint. Among the many items mentioned is the display of an 1870-CC double eagle by one of our members, and a mention of the display of my own complete set of "CC" half eagles.
You will enjoy reading these articles. This is very nice publicity so important to our club.
