Complimentary Commentary Celebrating C4OA's Curry's Chronicle !!
The twentieth edition of Curry's is a landmark worthy of every accolade. Mozeltov to Rusty, Marie, Maya and the Southgate team...and to every C4OA member for whom this wonderful publication is directed.
It's apropos that so many new members as well as veteran writers make up the contributors to this important issue. Carson Sink explains his nom-de-guerre with style while Mitchell Yee, John Kroon and Bob Lindstrom provide wonderful articles which, yet again, demonstrate the incredibly wide range of topics, both historic and current, which draw us C4OA members to Carson City minted coins and related lore.
James Sneddon once more demonstrates his seemingly inexhaustible depth of knowledge and years of hands-on experience, this time on the esoteric subject of Potty Coins. Only from the words of Mr. Sneddon would I believe that someone actually accumulated a potty coin collection numbering over 200 coins.
While Tom DeFina amuses our minds with mining memories, Weimar White and John McCloskey balance the Summer 2010 issue with technical information and sage CC investment advice.
I'm sure I speak for most members when I say how much I appreciate the consistent contributions made by these and many other regular contributors to Curry's Chronicle. I, for one, will never take for granted the quality expertise and enjoyable reading they provide in every issue of our club's publication.
Finally, our esteemed club President introduces us to a pivotal personality, Tom Fitch, who's support and oratory ability undoubtedly contributed mightily to the very survival of the Carson City Mint during its infancy.
Having just finished reading my Summer 2010 issue of Curry's Chronicle, I stifle a yawn at the prospect of opening my new Coin World.
