If you're willing, expert collectors, I'd like you opinions on this 1892-CC Half Eagle. Grade, price...whatever you're willing to provide.



Please let me know what you think the grade is, eye appeal, details, and all those other things that play into your decision making about a coin.

PS - I'll give you more information about it after I get some guesses. Except for this helpful hint: It is a Die State II.

Nice coin, My guess would be an AU58 and mind you it is just a guess. Price would dictate whether it came home with me or not. Overall i like the coin.

Drummer would probably be the best source here; maybe he has recused himself. I was looking at his '92-CC half eagle and his has some significant lustre for an AU50. The fields on Mike's '90-CC, XF-45, are less marked up than this one, so I am going to low ball this one to XF40. But, remember, I have no experience with these.:blink:
